The Systems Solutions Division of Hitachi Europe also promotes Hitachi's pioneering RFID chip called the Mu-chip (or µ-chip) in the EMEA region.

The Mu-chip is the world's smallest RFID integrated circuit. It provides the ability to track, trace and monitor items cost effectively, enhances security, protects brand image and can offer high visibility throughout supply or value chain or lifecycle of the tagged item.
