Hitachi, Ltd. developed the worlds smallest non contact IC Chip called the “mu chip”. Without a battery, the mu chip converts antenna-received 2.45-GHZ microwaves into energy and transmits 128-bit characteristic signals on a wireless basis. Typical applications include security, traceability, physical distribution, and production tracing & tracing, by taking advantage of its features of being very small, highly authentic, and non contact.
