Mu Manager is Hitachi's software framework that forms the standard international platform for all Mu-chip based software systems. It provides the essential functions required in any Mu-chip environment for managing tagged items, whilst supporting a flexible design that allows customers to extend the platform to meet their specific business requirements.
Mu manager also forms the standard interface to all Mu-chip readers. This interface abstracts the low level reader details to allow developers to concentrate on developing business functionality and not low-level reader programming.
Mu manager has been designed to be lightweight and offer only the essential framework for a Mu software environment. Accordingly a limited set of functions are supported in the core Mu Manager platform. These functions are designed to be extended and modified by subsequent Mu modules.
