Mu Xtended – The Mu Xtended module extends the functions of Mu Manager with a range of common functions (eg states, state rules, security and auditing). These functions are subsequently used across a variety of Mu modules for item level tracking and tracing operations.
Mu Tracker – The Mu Tracker module
consists of common functionality developed specifically
for the tracking of individual items in the retail industry.
Mu Tracker uses the functions implemented in Mu Xtended
and Mu Manager to provide functions such as product hierarchies,
item location maps and extended product attributes (eg colour,
supplier and pricing information).
Mu Read IDs – The Read IDs module
allows the user to scan a Mu–chip and use its unique
Mu ID to query the database for information on the item
and its associated product. If a match is made the product
details are displayed along with the item’s state
and location history.
Mu ID Matching – The ID Matching
module allows users to locate a specific Mu ID from a list
of items in the database. This database list is generated
according to a user specified search criteria.
Mu Stock Management – The Stock Management
module allows users to manipulate and monitor product stock
levels on an item and location basis. The module also allows
users to perform stock counts and produce various reports
(eg stock count reports across different users or reports
on food items that may be nearing their expiry date/time).
Mu Production Management – The Production
Management module allows Production Schedulers to schedule
the manufacture of new items. The schedules are processed
by manufacturers where an association function allows them
to automatically record multiple Mu IDs and link them with
product details.
Mu Inspection – The Inspection module
is specifically designed for the Brand Protection industry
to help inspectors view the production, location and state
details of an item in an attempt to curb the emergence of
parallel markets. If a suspect item is detected inspectors
can use this module to suspend entire production batches
belonging to that item.
Mu Batch IO – The Mu Batch IO module
provides the user with the ability to import and export
multiple products or items from/to files in various formats
(ie XML, comma or tab separated). Products and items can
be output to files according to a user specified search
criteria.
Mu Distribution – The Mu Distribution module
records the bulk movement of items from one location to
another. It allows distributors to create and maintain flexible
hierarchies where each level represents a movable collection
of items (eg pallets, batches, boxes, etc). The distribution
hierarchies facilitate the logistical tracking of items
between a source and target destination.
Mu Status Change – The Mu Status
Change module provides a generic facility that allows user-defined
functions to be created which automatically change the status
of items whilst adhering to predefined state rules.
Mu Store – The Mu Store Module contains
functionality that is common across end-user retail oriented
functions (eg administration of payment methods, special
offers, support of charge cards, etc). These functions are
subsequently used by Mu modules to create powerful RFID
enabled applications such as POS devices or Customer Kiosks.
Mu POS – The Mu POS module interfaces
with a POS (Point of Sales) device within a sales and refund
environment. It allows users to scan items, view pricing
and product details, record payment methods and update the
status of each item automatically. A complimentary process
allows customers to return items where the status of the
item can be changed to reflect a refund following verification
of the original sale.
Mu Kiosk – The Mu Kiosk module allows
an end-user terminal to be set-up in a retail store to enhance
the shopping experience of customers. This includes automatically
viewing additional information about an RFID enabled item
including stock levels and complimentary product suggestions.
